Kèr Shmifùsh (Shmi /fʊʃ/ [stall; kiosk] [elevator]) is a subtropical Town located in Mipoqanu County, Pjektsurajiahiz̄a Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Kèr Shmifùsh is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Shmifùsh was founded by Ethral Fardd Belíhgùru Powell, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Shmifùsh has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Kèr Shmifùsh receives an average of 135 cm/y (53 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Overview

Kèr Shmifùsh was founded durring the late 15th century in winter of the year 1386, by Ethral Fardd Belíhgùru Powell. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Ethral Fardd Belíhgùru Powell.

Kèr Shmifùsh was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Shmifùsh is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Kèr Shmifùsh is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of crampt baked earthen streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town has a fortified albit thin brick wall. The wall has most of the feeatures of a typical castle wall, just on a much smaller scale and and budget. Notably brick isn't a particuarly soild choice for resisting siege weapons. Kèr Shmifùsh's wall wouldn't hinder a proper army, but it is more than sufishent for bandits and other small marauding groups. Kèr Shmifùsh's monster and outlaw focused fortifications has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

A look around Kèr Shmifùsh gives the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which Kèr Shmifùsh brings to mind.

Civic Infrastructure

Kèr Shmifùsh possesses a city-wide Aethary Link which provides Aethary access anywhere within its metropolitan. This allows citizens who can afford the relevant devices access in their places of work, and rarely homes.

Kèr Shmifùsh has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Kèr Shmifùsh has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Kèr Shmifùsh's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Kèr Shmifùsh possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Kèr Shmifùsh has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Kèr Shmifùsh has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Kèr Shmifùsh's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

Due to the actions of local Kami, autumn is long in Kèr Shmifùsh.

The Hungry Flesh near Kèr Shmifùsh are known to be quite timid.

Kèr Shmifùsh's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves destroying a prepared ritual vessel to channel Illusion energies of tier 1 via recitation of scripture.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century Tarn Salinas began to boil, and released a thick toxic cloud from beneath its waters which devastated , killing every person and animal in its path which could not escape the cloud. Oddly, the plants of the region flourished in the years after the disaster. An estimated people, livestock, and buildings were lost to the disaster. The disaster is referred to as the Cursed Fates Wind.
